New Transport Proposals for Lahore

Bilal Akbar Khan also shared that Lahore’s urban transport plan has changed significantly over time. “Back in 2009, Lahore needed four metro lines, but the latest study shows we now require six,” he explained.

Expansion of Bus Fleet with World Bank Support
The minister also announced that, with monetary assistance from the World Bank, Lahore will soon receive 400 new buses worth $25 million. This move is part of the authorities’ broader effort to strengthen the town’s public delivery network.
