How Will the Weather Be? – Important Forecast by the Meteorological Department
Islamabad: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has released its latest weather forecast, predicting dry weather in most parts of the country, while mornings and nights are likely to remain cold. The federal capital and nearby areas will experience dry and slightly chilly conditions, especially during the early and late hours of the day.
Weather in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, most districts are expected to remain dry. However, northern and hilly regions will feel the chill, with temperatures dropping significantly at night and in the early morning. The PMD advised residents of mountainous areas to take precautions against the cold.
Punjab to Stay Dry, Smog Expected in Major Cities
The weather in Punjab will also remain mainly dry, though smog and low visibility are likely in several major cities. Areas including Lahore, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Okara, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Kasur, Multan, Rahim Yar Khan, Bahawalpur, and Khanewal may experience dense smog during morning and evening hours.
Authorities have urged citizens to limit unnecessary travel and wear masks to protect against pollution.
Sindh to Remain Hot and Dry
Most parts of Sindh will continue to experience warm and dry weather. However, coastal and southeastern areas such as Karachi, Thatta, and Badin may see partly cloudy skies. The temperatures in Turbat and Lasbela have been recorded as high as 38°C, while Pasni and Ormara reached around 37°C, making them the hottest areas in the country today.
Cold Nights for Balochistan, Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan
In Balochistan, the weather will stay dry, but northern districts are likely to experience cold nights and mornings.
Similarly, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan will have dry yet chilly weather, especially in higher altitudes.
Overall Weather Outlook
According to the Meteorological Department, the overall weather trend throughout Pakistan will stay solid, dry, and cool at some point of the approaching days. No predominant rain systems are expected within the next two days, but smog and fog may also affect visibility in parts of Punjab and southern Sindh.
Citizens are cautioned to stay up to date on the contemporary forecasts and take preventive measures against bloodborne pathogens and pollutants.
