Starlink to Launch in Pakistan Check Latest Speed, Packages & Availability (August 2025 Update)
A new type of internet is coming to Pakistan, and it’s from Elon Musk’s company, SpaceX. The service is called Starlink. Unlike normal internet that uses cables and wires, Starlink uses satellites in space. This means it can work anywhere in Pakistan, even in villages, mountains, or deserts where normal internet is not available.
Launch Date in Pakistan
Starlink got temporary approval from the Pakistani government in March 2025. Right now, the government is finishing security checks and final rules.
📅 If all goes well, Starlink may officially launch in late 2025 (November or December). But if technical work takes more time, the launch could be delayed.
Why Starlink is Important for Pakistan
- Works in remote areas with no internet
- No cables or fiber needed — just a dish and Wi-Fi router
- Very useful for students, freelancers, and online jobs
- Gives super-fast internet (50 to 500 Mbps), much faster than most local companies
Expected Packages and Prices
| Plan | Speed | Monthly Price | One-Time Setup |
|---|---|---|---|
| Home | 50–250 Mbps | Rs. 35,000 | Rs. 110,000 |
| Travel | 50–250 Mbps | Rs. 50,000 | Rs. 120,000 |
| Business | 100–500 Mbps | Rs. 95,000 | Rs. 220,000 |
💡 Prices may reduce after launch, and cheaper packages could be introduced later.
Why So Expensive?
Starlink is costly because it uses advanced satellites and needs a special dish device. It is mainly made for people who cannot get any other internet service. The focus is on speed and reliability, not low price.
What Still Needs to Happen
Before launch, Starlink must complete:
- Full license from PTA
- Security clearance from government
- Setting up ground stations
- Technical and safety checks
Final Thoughts
Starlink can be a game changer for Pakistan’s internet. It will help people in rural and hard-to-reach areas. Though expensive at the start, it offers fast, reliable, and wireless internet. Over time, prices may drop, making it easier for more people to use.

Too expensive and I don’t it will be successful as the majority of people can’t afford it so it may be a loss for Mr. Elon Musk..
Agreed
I think it is Initially expensive but the passage of time charges will be reduce this is big hope for those who don’t have access to the Internet due to the demographic condition.
Business Class can easily afford it
250 Mbps and you can use it even if you are out of city
یہ پاکستان میں صرف 5,فیصد لوگ استمعال کرےگیں بہت زیادہ مہنگا ہے
Many people not afford this price
Very useful. People can easily divide and use… one would be enough for a whole village. Till date there is no reliable internet source in all of east punjab, people have been using wireless CPs to use internet but its very unreliable and cannot be depended upon for any important work. Only casual social media users can use.
Too expensive. Can’t be useful for rural population.
Too expensive
You think wrong.you not read full article.one device can use above then 200 people.very cheep and useful.i agreed.come on and welcome to Pakistan.
Plz all guys.before any comments read fully.thanks to all
There is no such thing found in the article, it says one user
Government agencies like NADRA, PASSPORT OFFICE,SUI GAS, ELECTRICITY ETC MUST USE THIS SERVICE BECAUSE THEIR SERVICE ARE VERY POOR DUE TO SLOW INTERNET.
More than 95% people of Pakistan can’t afford this because of its heavy prices
Absolutely for Elite class.
Should also include veg Burger in the Menu
Is it necessary to use it
No. Not at all
Be pakistani…… fail it in Pakistan
Pakistani government is very honest and caring
As the government provides us all the services including internet as it best level
Then it is our responsibility to boycott
😂😂 😂 😆 😆 😆
Not for common Pakistanis.
Only for elites of elitiest. Only for 0.01%
Whose can afford Satellite phones, farm houses & luxury cars
Pehly aany to do
Let it come as a competitor, at least PTCL will improve it’s services and Starlink would be elite specific being not affordable. PTCL will always go cheaper and cheaper in the competition.
It will very useful for rural population.
Starlink is worth it if you are in a rural or remote area with limited or no access to reliable high-speed internet (like DSL, cable, or fiber). For these users, it’s a game-changer. Probably not worth it if you have access to a reliable and affordable cable or fiber connection, as those will typically offer better performance for a lower price.
A standard Starlink Residential connection can comfortably support 10-20 simultaneous devices for common activities like browsing, streaming, and video calls. In terms of active, high-bandwidth users, it can typically handle
3-4 people streaming 4K video, gaming online, or making large downloads at the exact same time. Many more people (15-20+) if they are doing lighter tasks like browsing websites, checking email, or using smart home devices.
So, the bottom line is, it’s definitely worth it for rural areas and this can help boast our economy by more international tourists who comes to Pakistan to explore our northern areas specially the mountaineers. In my opinion its a win win situation Pakistan.
Chacha Musk bhi Pakistan ko lootne aa raha he pr isko pata nhi ke hum log tumhre is net ka bhi jugaar nikaal lenge Betta tu aa to sahi ….
