SNGC New Gas Connection 2025 – Apply Online, Fee & Requirements

Great news: Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd (SNGC) has launched a new gas connection scheme for homes in 2025 — and the whole thing is now online. No more long queues or running around gas offices.

What Is It?

This program allows people to get a new domestic gas (LNG) connection along with a gas meter at their homes. The process is now digital, so you can apply from home. It’s only for houses in areas covered by SNGC.

Who Can Apply?

You can apply if you:

  • Are a Pakistani citizen with a valid CNIC
  • Own or legally use a property within SNGC’s area
  • Don’t already have gas connected at that home
  • Can show proof of ownership (registry, rent agreement, allotment, etc.)
  • Have no pending gas bills or disputes linked to the property

Documents You’ll Need

Be ready with these before you start:

  • CNIC copy (your own, and sometimes your spouse)
  • Proof of home ownership (registry paper, lease, etc.)
  • A recent electricity or water bill (to confirm address)
  • Signed undertaking / application form (downloaded from SNGC portal)
  • Two recent passport-size photos

How to Apply Online

Here’s a step-by-step:

  1. Go to the official SNGC website
  2. Find the “New Domestic Connection” portal
  3. Select “Apply for New Connection”
  4. Fill in your personal and property info
  5. Upload all required documents (make them clear)
  6. Submit the application
  7. You’ll get a tracking number — save it
  8. SNGC will verify your information and visit your site for inspection

What It Costs & How Long It Takes

  • Application Fee: About Rs. 6,000 – 7,500 (non-refundable)
  • Security Deposit: Depends on SNGC’s current rules
  • Processing Time: Usually 3 to 6 months, depending on how far your property is from gas pipelines

Why Apply Now?

  • Everything is online — no more queues or middlemen
  • You can track progress online with your tracking number
  • If your documents are correct, they might process your application faster
  • Less paper work means fewer errors and delays

Common Problems & Tips to Avoid Them

  • Application delayed? Use your tracking number and ask via helpline
  • Document rejection? Always scan clearly, sign where needed, check utility bills are recent
  • No pipeline in your area? Your application will wait until pipeline expansion reaches you
  • Duplicate applications? Don’t apply more than once for same property — it might get rejected
