Punjab Traffic Police Extends One-Day Motorcycle License Service After Big Success
The Punjab Traffic Police has shared good news for people who ride motorcycles. DIG Traffic Punjab, Muhammad Waqas Nazir, announced that the facility of getting a motorcycle license in just one day will continue across the province.
This service started one year ago and has now completed its first successful year. During this time, more than 2.96 million regular motorcycle licenses have been issued in Punjab. Out of these, over 14,000 were given to women and more than 100 to transgender citizens. This makes it the first time in Pakistan’s history that such a large number of licenses have been provided so quickly and easily.
Same-Day Learner and Regular License
Before this project, people had to wait for weeks to get their license. Now, both the learner license and regular license can be issued on the same day. This has made the process simple, faster, and more convenient for everyone.
The facility has encouraged more riders, especially women and members of the transgender community, to apply for licenses and drive legally.

DIG Traffic said that it is a positive sign that millions of people are now driving with proper licenses. He explained that licensed drivers usually follow traffic rules more carefully, which helps in reducing road accidents.
