New Train Service Launched by Railways Between Two Big Cities
Pakistan Railways has started a new train service connecting Islamabad and Rawalpindi. The aim of this service is to give daily passengers a safe, low-cost, and comfortable way to travel between the two cities.
Decision in Lahore
The plan was approved in a meeting at the Railways Headquarters in Lahore. The session was led by Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi and joined by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi along with senior railway officers.
Safety first
In the meeting, officials explained the overall security situation of railways, especially in Balochistan. Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that passenger safety and railway line protection are the government’s top concern. He added that the government will not compromise on these issues.
Action against illegal land use
In the meeting, it was decided to launch a drive against illegal occupation of railway land. For this task, the Railways Police and the National Constabulary will work together. The Frontier Constabulary has assured complete cooperation for this campaign. Removing illegal land use will help Pakistan Railways improve its services and facilities.

Please restore Chakwal railway line immediately. Wagon maafia is not treating well the passenger travelling between Chakwal and Rawalpindi. It would be better if a high speed train is started between havalian and islamabad; Peshawar and islamabad for the sack of reducing burden on motorway and other transport. In this way there will be saving of petrol etc. If a tunal between islamabad and Haripur is constructed as old program of the present government then it would save time and petroleum consumption.
