Easy Process to Get a “Juvenile Identity Card” for Children Under 18 Years
In Pakistan, every citizen gets their National Identity Card (CNIC) when they reach 18 years of age. But children younger than 18 also need an official ID for school, travel, and records. To facilitate this, NADRA provides a special identification document known as the Juvenile Card. It is the first step in giving children their own identity in the system. The good news is that the process to get this card is very easy.
Documents You Need
Parents must bring some basic documents when applying:
- CNIC copies of both parents
- Computerized birth certificate of the child (from Union Council or Cantonment Board)
- Legal guardianship proof if the child is adopted
- Citizenship or naturalization papers if required
These documents confirm the child’s personal and family information.
How to Apply
- Go to your nearest NADRA Registration Center and take a token.
- One parent will give fingerprints for biometric verification.
- At the NADRA office, the child’s information is recorded, along with capturing their photograph and fingerprints.
- Parents will receive a printed form to review. If the details are correct, the final form will be given.
- The form needs verification from the other parent’s biometric or a gazetted officer.
- Submit the verified form along with the fee. A short family interview may also be done.

- Normal Service: Rs. 750 – Card ready in 30 days
- Urgent Service: Rs. 1,500 – Card ready in 15 days
- Executive Service: Rs. 2,500 – Card ready in 7 days
