E-Challan Punjab: How to Check & Pay Traffic Fines Easily

Long ago, getting a traffic fine meant visiting a traffic office, standing in long lines, and wasting hours. Now with E-Challan Punjab, you can check and pay your fines online, from your phone or computer.

What Is E-Challan Punjab?

E-Challan is a digital traffic ticket system run by Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA). Cameras, smart sensors, and ANPR (automatic number-plate recognition) catch violations like running red lights, speeding, or no helmet, and issue a fine automatically.

How to Check Your E-Challan (Fines) Online

1. Go to the PSCA E-Challan portal (Punjab’s official site).
2. Enter one of these:
   • Your vehicle registration number
   • CNIC number
   • PSID (Payment Slip ID) or chassis number
3. Click Search / Submit / Check.
4. View details: date, violation, fine amount, status (paid or unpaid).

In Lahore, the system is integrated with city cameras, so checking fines works the same — just use the Lahore portal or PSCA portal and enter the same info.

How E-Challan Is Issued

When you break a traffic rule (for example run a red light, overspeed, drive without helmet), cameras detect your vehicle and log the violation. An e-challan is generated and linked to your vehicle, CNIC, or PSID. You may get notified via SMS or email, or you check it yourself online.

What Is PSID?

PSID (Payment Slip Identification Number) is a unique code for each challan. It helps you find and track fines easily. If you have the PSID printed on your slip or given in the notice, you can:

• Go to the E-Challan portal
• Select “PSID / Challan ID” search
• Enter PSID to view all linked fines

How to Pay E-Challan Online

1. After you see your fine / PSID, go to ePay Punjab or the PSCA e-Challan payment page.
2. Enter your vehicle number or PSID.
3. Pick a payment method:
   • JazzCash
   • EasyPaisa
   • Debit/credit card or net banking
   • Some bank apps also support traffic fine payments
4. Confirm and pay. Save or download the receipt.
5. The system will mark your challan as cleared after payment.

If online payment doesn’t work, you can go to certain bank branches and pay using your PSID.
