CM Punjab E-Rozgar Scheme 2025 – Empowering Youth Through Digital Skills

The CM Punjab E-Rozgar Scheme 2025 is one of the most successful digital empowerment projects launched under the Government of Punjab. This initiative, run by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), aims to equip the youth with freelancing and digital skills so that they can earn online instead of waiting for traditional jobs. Through this program, young Pakistanis are being trained to work on global freelancing platforms such as Fiverr, Upwork, and PeoplePerHour, helping them become financially independent and capable of earning in foreign currency.

Purpose of the Program

Pakistan has a large youth population, with most people between 22 and 27 years of age. Providing jobs to such a huge number is a big challenge. The E-Rozgar Program helps solve this problem by training the youth in digital skills, freelancing, and creative work, enabling them to work from home and earn money from international clients.

The scheme has already trained over 16,000 students across Punjab, while more than 3,000 candidates are currently enrolled. There are 32 active training centers, including 4 dedicated centers for females, where students receive three months of free training in their chosen domain. Graduates have so far earned over PKR 230 million through freelancing.

Training Domains and Courses

The program offers three main domains that applicants can choose from:

DomainMajor Skills Covered
TechnicalWeb Development (WordPress, PHP, MySQL, etc.)

A freelancing course is included in every domain so participants can learn how to sell their services globally.

To apply for the CM Punjab E-Rozgar Program, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Women Empowerment

A remarkable aspect of the program is its focus on female empowerment. Around 52% of total graduates are women, and they have contributed 50% of the program’s total reported earnings. Women from both urban and rural areas are now supporting their families and helping Pakistan’s economy by earning foreign exchange.

Economic and Social Impact

The E-Rozgar Scheme is not just creating individual success stories but also strengthening Pakistan’s digital economy. By bringing foreign exchange through freelancing, it contributes to national economic growth. The program aligns with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 4, 5, 10, and 17) and the World Bank’s Knowledge Economy pillars.

International Recognition and Expansion

Global tech giants such as Google and Facebook have partnered with E-Rozgar, providing participants with free Google mSite and Facebook SMB certifications. Pakistan now ranks 4th globally in the freelancing industry, with a 47% annual growth rate, thanks to such government initiatives.

With over 120,000 applications received so far, the Punjab Government plans to expand the project to more universities and even replicate it nationwide under the National Freelance Training Program.

In short, the CM Punjab E-Rozgar Scheme 2025 is not just a training project — it’s a movement towards self-reliance, digital inclusion, and economic growth for the youth of Pakistan.
